This is my favorite way to make deviled eggs. They have a bright and smokey flavor using lemon juice instead of traditional vinegar and a southwest kick with fajita seasoning. These are a fun and favorite twist on traditional deviled eggs and I guarantee you won't be able to eat just one! A recipe just in time for spring and summer get togethers.

8 Hard Boiled Eggs

1/2 Lemon, Juiced

1/2 - 3/4 tsp. Fajita Season (Bolner's Fiesta Brand Extra Fancy Fajita Seasoning - this is a kitchen staple in my house!)

1/4 c. Mayonnaise (Duke's)

Remove yolks and mash thoroughly with a fork until a small crumble. Squeeze half a lemon on the yolks, add the mayo and seasoning. Mix with the fork until a fairly smooth consistency. If you like your filling really smooth, use a hand mixer. Scoop yolk mixture into the whites. Sprinkle lightly on top with additional seasoning or for an extra kick cayenne pepper. Enjoy!

Here in the Washington, DC area last week we had amazing Springtime weather! It got me excited about hanging out at the park with a yummy picnic lunch.

Last fall I gathered with some friends for a socially distanced picnic and made this yummy Nicoise Salad from the Modern Proper Instead of using tuna I replaced mine with thinly sliced beef tenderloin - yumm!

I'm looking forward to getting together with friends again soon!
